non-chocolate easter

What do you do when your child is allergic to milk (and therefore chocolate easter candy is out of the equation)? Just throw around a few empty plastic eggs in the yard and have him figure out that it's still 'fun' to find hollow eggs. hahaha.
       

Although he seemed more interested in pulling out the eggs he already found from the basket, than putting them in.


I'm hoping his candy options vastly improve when his molars kick in or he outgrows his allergies. If not, Halloween will be quite depressing for all of us. hehe. :)

• 10:56 pulled all the CDs out of the shelves and scattered them on the floor.
• 20:25 in sharp contrast with those who will escape in seeing a chance, I will actually close the infant gate at the child center if it's open

wonderment

Kaylor and I take a walk everyday to grab the mail. What normally would take anyone maybe 5 minutes to do, takes us about 20-25 or even longer. Why? He has to stop at every single plant, patch of grass, and rock formation as we go by, to feel, smell, or if he gets really intrigued, taste. If a grasshopper happens to pop up, he has to chase it. We have to stop whenever a plane flies by and watch until it disappears into the horizon. Every single day. As if he hasn't seen it all before.

I just love his raw innocence.

• 10:30 went over to the vacuum and said "voom voom". I really only will go to it when it's turned off.
• 21:30 1/4 cup of rice and ate half of my dad's udon. pulled up my shirt and patted my tummy coz it's so big.

• 09:43 starting eyeing my mom suspiciously as she ate her banana. tried to quickly eat the waffles in my hand
• 09:46 3 waffles and a banana for breakfast
• 10:12 clean diapers 101. ask mom to let me sit on her lap. soon, she'll notice the pungent aroma wafting from my diaper. presto, diaper change!
• 10:16 finished the waffles&found a banana for me. brought it over to mom to peel. Freaked out when she held on to it a little too long. it's mine!
• 13:09 potstickers and rice for lunch
• 13:34 ate all the rice, none of the potstickers. mmm for teriyaki glazed rice.
• 16:35 thnk it's funny to tilt my head backwards really fast (while on mom's lap), so i headbutt her nose, chin, whatever that elicits an 'ow'

• 10:40 gave mom my pancake to hold while i drank. stared at her&shook my cup while drinking to ensure she doesn't eat it
• 10:49 3 pancakes for breakfast
• 16:33 really into headbumping lately. i think it's funny.
• 18:33 slammed a plate on the ground (repeatedly) and it started to chip. dad found the broken off chip by stepping on it :(
• 20:36 made some friends at the gym's child center. didn't even notice my dad was there to pick me up.
