too excited, but too tired

Nick had to go on a week long business trip last February. Kaylor missed him a lot and when he found out we were picking up his dad at the airport, he became really happy.

Unfortunately, it was right around his nap time so he tried so hard to stay awake while waiting.

I found this video in an old memory card, and apparently I haven't archived it. Glad to have found it though since it gave a glimpse of Kaylor's future hamminess even at 12 months old.

We went to this yummy Greek restaurant to celebrate Brian's bday. And while we were waiting for our food, Kaylor amused us with his 'passion' for the lemon wedges.

Although, the novelty of it seemed to have worn off. Everytime he's in that crib now, he proceeds to chuck the balls out instead of keeping them in.

Silent no more

We think he finally found his voice. After months of just observing our lips, he finally had something to say...

Though only he would know for sure what it all meant. :)

sick again!

I figured something was amiss today since Kaylor was unusually more clingy than usual, plus he didn't fight his naps (and even welcomed an additional one).

Sure enough, he has a fever. :(

It seemed to have peaked right after we took his temperature earlier in the night though. We gave him some milk in a bottle to hydrate him, and halfway through, he stops drinking and spews all over. Burps. Then gives us his gummy grin after we hold him close.

He was back to his cheery and active self by bedtime (half an hour later).


(we wondered if he caught a bug in UT. The drastic change in weather must have really shocked his system... loss of sleep probably didn't help either)

two-minute distraction

He just loves pulling books off the shelf. I'm just happy he doesn't try to rip the pages apart after he's done...

Lately, imitating is all what Kaylor does. Although, he seems to interpret things in a funnier way than we expect...

hyper before bedtime

This is a video we took of Kaylor before he went to bed a few nights ago.

We miss his cheery attitude, especially now that he's just been cranky from being sick (although chewing on ice chips seem to help him out a lot)... we really hope he gets better soon.

We were at Disneyland this weekend with Nick's mom. It was great to hang out with her ,and Nick and I were able to finally get back on rides together.

The one thing that kept Kaylor's attention (and drove Nick insane in the process) is the bedroom door stop at our hotel.

(and I'm glad I haven't gotten in trouble yet for letting Kaylor boing away)

Nick said I've been slacking off on this blog (even though he also has author rights, he still waits for me to post haha).
