Guess the intervention wasn't necessary anyway. I started having contractions after I got back to work. Not painful but they became more and more regular as the hours passed. I called Nick to tell him tonight might be it so he better get home from work early. :)
At around 7pm, I started timing the contractions and they were consistently coming in at 2,3, and 5 minutes apart. So we figured we should probably visit the hospital; they can always just make us go home. :)
At 7:45, we got to the check-in desk and I was sent in for triage. After getting checked by the nurse, we were admitted. Apparently when you are dilated at minimum to a 4, they don't let you go home. At 9:20, the doc manually broke my water to help speed things along. At around 1am, I was still just at 6, then an at 2am, apparently it just jumped to 10. :)
10 mins of pushing later, Kaia was born. 6 lbs 7oz and 19 inches long. She beat out her bro in both height and weight.
