two-minute distraction

He just loves pulling books off the shelf. I'm just happy he doesn't try to rip the pages apart after he's done...

officially inducted into fatherhood?

For 9 months, Nick's been the lucky recipient of only one aspect of Kaylor's bodily fluids (puke). Somehow his reflexes have generally helped him avoid getting peed or pooped on...

Yesterday his streak ended.

As fate would have it, Kaylor had a blow-out right before church yesterday, and Nick's white shirt is now stained green. :)

Fun fun.

outvoted

Pizza toppings. Nick and I usually struggle to find toppings that work for both of us, since I'm picky with certain veggies and he's picky with sweet flavors :).

"What do you mean I can't add pineapple to bbq chicken?"

Looks like with Kaylor in the mix, I may never get an order of hawaiian in... We ordered some pizza a few days ago and Kaylor wholeheartedly gobbled up the green peppers, onions, and mushrooms without even a grimace (and no reactions! whoo-hoo!). And he was quick to ask for more.

it burns

One of Nick's MBA buddies came and saw us on Friday, just in time for dinner. And where do we take him? Of course, Nick's favorite BBQ place.

This place usually gives you a side of cheese bread, but the night's offering was jalapeño bread. Obviously, Kaylor wanted some, but we never expected him to try putting the whole slice in his mouth.

And what luck. He managed to get a bite where there was a jalapeño piece. He cried for a second, and after a chug of some water, he went on his merry way, trying to shove more bread in. *sigh*.

At least we know he's not allergic to jalapeños. :)

Back!

This weekend Kaylor spent some time with his Grandma, since we took off with Brian and Alia to Disneyland.

It was great to go, but we definitely missed him...

For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,

We had sooo much fun at the last game, we decided to go again tonight (well, really can't pass up a good deal: all-you-can-eat section for $20 a person - unlimited hotdogs, nachos, peanuts, soda/water).

It still sucked having the whole stadium cheering against you though. haha.

On the upside, Kaylor had fun hanging out in the Sandlot, where the little kids can play.
