6 mo checkup
official counts:
height: grew 2.25 inches (26.25)
weight: gained 1lb .5 oz (ha ha). 14 pounds even.
He was quite sociable during the checkup, smiling and playing with everyone he got in contact with. He did freak out when he saw the poster for respiration and saw this guy...

(freaky...)
but the rest of the time he was cheery.
However, his mood completely went downhill (albeit gradual) after he got his shots. He didn't cry for very long at the pediatrician. He even smiled back at the receptionist when we left. We even survived the long wait at the local brake shop. But once we got home, he was miserable. He hardly slept and just wanted to be held.
He cheered up though when he saw his dad...

crazy bears
Another sweet post from Lifehacker. (it's one of my fave websites, can't you tell? :D)
This time it's about a kid-friendly video website called Totlol. It culls kid-friendly videos from youtube and saves them in one neat searchable collection. I think it's a great concept since unlike youtube, you know for sure what type of content you'll see. The videos are aimed towards 6month to 6 year olds. It has some fun psychotic videos on there that I think Kaylor would like. (he seems to have a thing for the psychedelic - the only ride he was utterly mesmerized with was the Pooh bear ride. I always thought that the creator was hopped on some sort of happy kite when he/she made it, but he/she's obviously a genius for kiddie desires).
Here's first video I clicked on (apparently a web sensation, but I've never seen it before now)
Gummy Bear
(I've watched the 2:30 minute version, and I think the 30 second piece is plenty enough :D).

horrible mom
I was trying to set up Kayl's appt with the pediatrician today and I totally gave them the wrong birthday (Dec 7, not 8). After I said the date, it crossed my mind that it was incorrect. Oops. Had to repeat the right date to the receptionist.
So right after the call, I added his birthday on GCal and birthdayalarm to make sure I'll never forget hahaha. Man, my brain's getting demented way too early.

And Nick's birthday is Saturday. Pls remind me on Friday :). LOL. JK.

fliers are doomed
I gotta hand it to this child. He is quite persistent and determined (traits he seems to have gotten from his dad). Despite a week of frustration caused by multiple face plants and arms that stayed put even though his legs wanted to go-go-go, he just kept going at it.
I can only imagine what shenanigans he'll get into once he really learns to go mobile. yikes.
