we got a pencil and a lollipop
We've been looking for a costume for about a month and we didn't really find anything that was interesting enough. I did want to dress him up as Yoda for the longest time, but at $25 (and the sizes were all just too big on him), we would rather plunk the money on diapers.
So last night when we were looking at costumes again in a halloween store, we came up with an idea we both liked and one that would be much cheaper to put together.
After going spending quite some time picking out the pieces from Walmart, this is how it turned out:

Not bad for $8. :) (we don't count the hat since we already owned it).

Happy Halloween!

It's shaping up to be a festive day
After last night, we're all a little tired here.
But craziness continues...
It's funny how he fights to escape (and does) when I try to button up his onesie after changing 'another' poopy diaper. Then after I'm all done, he crawls back.
It's funny when he tries to reach for things on your computer desk like your phone, water cup, camera, then pulls them off so they drop.
It's funny when he picks up your fallen phone then proceeds to smash it against a glass plate meant for his cheerios snack. (yes, yes, we're lacking in baby-friendly feeding supplies)
It's funny because even after all that, you can't help but be amused when you're greeted by this:

(by the way his dad apparently dislikes this picture because he "looks like a girl with those shining eyes and lashes." hahaha. But I'm posting it anyway, because it made me smile. so there.)

blowout
You just know it's going to be an interesting day ahead when your day starts at 2am handwashing 4 blankets, a bed cover, and a certain onesie. :)
Wow. I never saw this coming 6 hours ago when we put him to bed... :)
On the upside, Arm and Hammer w/ OxyClean really lifts certain stains quite well... burns the skin though.

shenanigans
Apparently there's only so much toys in the house to keep Kaylor amused. So today he decided it'd be fun to push our garbage and recycle bins around in the kitchen...
I'm surprised they didn't tip...

sick again!
I figured something was amiss today since Kaylor was unusually more clingy than usual, plus he didn't fight his naps (and even welcomed an additional one).
Sure enough, he has a fever. :(
It seemed to have peaked right after we took his temperature earlier in the night though. We gave him some milk in a bottle to hydrate him, and halfway through, he stops drinking and spews all over. Burps. Then gives us his gummy grin after we hold him close.
He was back to his cheery and active self by bedtime (half an hour later).
(we wondered if he caught a bug in UT. The drastic change in weather must have really shocked his system... loss of sleep probably didn't help either)
